Today's Finds:detecting:

Got up today at 5am to go dive a beach that is quite popular here in the summer. I ran 2.5 tanks down and by the end of that I had pulled 3 rings (14kt, 925, 925), 52 coins, an underwater camera that still works, 3 pairs of glasses, 66 pull tabs and a bunch of other stuff. It was a great day and going home with gold is always a plus. hope you enjoy the pics.

Thanks for Reading and Happy Hunting -Marc

That's a nice hunt. Metal detecting and diving seem to be the perfect compliment. Someday I would like to get my certification. Great work!

WOW three rings" but i see you also dig the tabs you are very smart but you have a lot into this I am glad to see this paying off for you and keeping the beaches clean

Very well done...congrats on the gold rings.
That Tiffany ring might be worth another good
look..... HH Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Thanks for the replies guys.

CJ- The T&Co ring is 925. Not worth too much. It is interesting though. Its my first square ring.

Jeffc- I highly recommend trying dive-detecting. It is so relaxing. Metal detecting gets me away from everything to relax, but dive-detecting REALLY gets me away. I hope you try it sometime, I'm sure you will love it.

GunnarMN- You HAVE to dig those pull tabs. If you want anything good, pull tabs are a must. All three rings that I found, I "expected" to be pull tabs. If you want gold, you just have to dig them. Screw caps are different, however, I just dug some of those to clean them up along the way. Screw caps clearly come through as screw caps on the excal, but cleaning up is part of this hobby so I clean them up when they are shallow.

All in all, the gold ring is a winner. It doesn't look it in the picture but it is quite heavy. The other two are 925 stamped, not too exciting, but different. I'll take them and be grateful I found them.

Thank you al for your replies and for reading.

I agree but in this mad world there is one on ebay here in the UK - current bidding price is up to

Thanks for the replies.

Florida Keys Pirate- Thanks for your comment. No, I am not wearing boxer shorts in my picture. They are seersucker shorts.

BeachBat- Yes, there may be some value in the branding on the square ring. I don't sell anything that I find, so value is irrelevant to me. First priority is trying to return it to the owner and if that doesn't happen, the item sits in my finds pile. Maybe some day I will cash in on my finds, but for now, filling up my pirate chest with booty seems to be fun.

Very nice rings! That must be a blast: diving and detecting! I wish I lived near a beach just to dig in the sand as it is effortless digging after hammering through dry crusty pavement dirt lol. Thanks for sharing. - Jim
