Thought I would check in with my finds of the day in a local park.
I spent the better part of 3 hrs hunting, and dug lots of holes.
I am new to this and the Ace 250 also, but getting some exercise while doing it!
I am finding that I like to use the 250 in coin mode with the factory settings. Quarters seem to ring out real well and show as 25 cents on the meter. Pennies ring off the wall, and so do bottle caps between the 1 and 5 cent marks. I am finding that pull tabs are showing 1 notch under the tab on the scale.
I have tested my unit on some gold chains and rings, and they seem to be in the same range from 1 notch under to 1 over pull tabs.
Does anyone have the same results?
