No Gold Rings, a few modern coins.. Plenty of Trash Junkets.
Model you used?

Settings you used?

Search coil you used?

Type of site you searched?

Thanks,

Monte

The Model of Detector is the Gold Racer with standard 10 x 5.5 Coil. When we are talking about settings for Pulling Gold Rings out which are my main targets here are the settings i use, and so far i have got 3 Gold Rings from inland sports fields / Park The Sensitivity i have set at 82. Discrimination 1 Mode. Tone Break 29. All other settings i leave alone. I think you can tweek and tweek all day long but it makes little diference mostly. I like the way the Gold Racer remembers your settings - switch on ground balance and away you go in 2 seconds flat!
The site i have been doing is producing nothing much at all now with regard to high conductors with the Gold Racer , the 56 Khz just does not penetrate down as far on high conductors. I think i will run the the Red Racer over and see if the 14 Khz can find any deeper missed targets. I really need the little 6 inch coil for the Gold Racer as some parts of the site are really really heavily contaminated with foil and can slaw, foil been the main problem. I mean tons of the stuff. Keep watching my finds posts on here , there will be another Gold Ring sooner or later (sooner Hopefully!) ...
One last Tip for Gold Ring Hunting , the removal of Ferrous Coins from a site is important. I class ferrous coins as junk because most go rusty pretty quickly and really can mask out Gold Rings. This is something most hunters don't consider IMHO , I hate digging out ferrous coins but the removal will open the site up more for gold. Sites need to worked with different frequency detectors too , no single freq machine gets it all.
I Run 56 kHz over site and also 14 khz , i also have an Explorer just for good measure! Using this method i remover virtually every single good target from a site. Anyone going over a site i have worked hard will find absolutely nothing!

I am still here its a process you know cutting grass, 1st you have to think about going to the servo to get fuel, done that, then read some stuff on here done that, then think about putting shoes on check, now write a bit more, doing that, and in the whole process formulating a plan or gathering the required mental ambition to fill the mover and start it, it really is a process.

why am I sharing that well its a bit like park hunting gold, its a thankless job but if you don't do it it just doesn't feel right  and by you I mean me but it doesn't work in the sentence does it.

so well gold hunting is a winter activity where I am at  so just in the contemplation phase. gathering myself and then the action starts.

I agree with Frank I mean zapper sorry zapper I know I am strange but I had a giggle so all is well and not taking the pi$$, just a bit of fun.

and like Frank said its a process, and seems like a long and painful one at times, but rewards come for those who persevere and have a plan.

like Ringzapper, for me one machine does not find it all that's for sure, I do have a pattern I go though in a park with Tesoro's and now the final mop up machine the GR which I am sure can be used higher up in the process, I have more time I need to put on the GR to see where it fits, it will come soon enough. and each site is different no 2 ways.

so for me I just been running 70 out of the box sense. those other 2 things isat and what's the other  one at zero, sure when I hit the gold fields I will work on those. just knocking out a big nail and start digging, have a 10 x 5.5 concentric on the way now that should be interesting. to see how that goes.

well guess I better go mow right :sadwalk:

good write up ringzapper.

AJ
