found these in my parents yard where an old barn used to stand dating back to to late 1800s early 1900s, it used to be farmland.. have no clue what the other two objects are they both had the coin reading.. and then i found this pottery pot top?? thingy in the same location looks chinese no markings..

The thing with the square hole in it looks like it is part of a doorknob??? The other thing, I would need better pics of...
it almost looks like the ring you would put in a bull's nose???

HH,

Amazing that that lid Was all in one piece....an antiques dealer might be able to date it for you...look for a reputable dealer in your area...

HH,

GoGoGopher

The rings look a lot like what we used call a broken bit for horses they go on each side of the bit .the rains go throught the rings on each side and back to the rider.

thanks guys for all the feedback. really appreciate peoples opinions because all of you have good ones. that chinese thing is killin me to be buried a foot in the ground and be in that great condition.. no one in my family has no clue to why that would be buried on their property even my grandma whos been there all her life...

oh cool this ring is very heavy for its size good possibility

I f the ring is solid, I am with gogopher, looks like a bull ring, but in the picture looks like it collapsed on one side,so that would kill the bull ring, everyone I ever saw was solid.

The pottery top is probably the top to a teapot from the construction details I can see and looks English maybe Victorian (Chinese was all the rage then). The thing with the square hole I got nothing for you. The ring is indeed part of a horses's bit (properly called a Snaffle bit).
