Pretty beat up you can barely make out the harp on the reverse. As far as the date, certain angles in the right light it looks to be 17?? but I'm not 100% sure. Cool find anyhow.

It was between 8-9 inches down, really good signal. I was surprised because I've gone over this area before and missed it. I think that has to do with running in all metal mode now. There was iron in the hole also so it probabally nulled out and didn't see it last time. It wasn't at WP it was at Prospect. We didn't get a chance to get there when you were out.

Hi Ratney, it is hard to read the date, I nearly turned my head upside down trying to read it! It a nice coin though, is it silver or copper? Hard to tell here.

Yes the date is very tough to see not to mention my photography skills are not the greatest. I wish the ground in my area was a bit easier on the old copper coins. It's rare to get one thats not corroded.
