I was up early this morning to catch the low tide. It was predawn when I got to the first beach and the ocean was like a lake, calm and peaceful.

Glass Beach was just to the west of me but i decided not to hunt it again for now.

The calm was broken shortly after my arrival by some male Bermuda Longtails dogfighting over my head in competition for a Longtail female. These guys put on an incredible acrobatic display and I stopped detecting to watch. I'm happy to see them back because they are a sure indication that spring has arrived in Bermuda.

This beach was a total bust so I headed over to the harbour side to the British Naval PMQ Beach (private military quarters) to see if things had been stirred up a little since my last visit.

Over the next 2 hours I came up with a copper bracelet, a brass buckle from an old set of braces, a 1957 British Half Crown, some old British money (shilling, thrupence, large cents), a little over a buck in clad and a large marble. I find a lot of the smaller marbles (they were used in the old soda bottles to help mix the pop) but not the big ones.

After I got home the phone rang but that's a whole other story.
Cheers,
