when I rode school buses in Saginaw - maybe it pre-dates me. WOW is that OLD

Really never had fares for school buses back in the 50s and 60s. Going to guess its either Saginaw, MI or Saginaw, TX. Probably people going to school used the tokens on the city buses going to and from school - before the school districts had their own buses. I'm going to guess that the token is from the 40s or maybe earlier. Will have to ask my Dad to see if he knows about those tokens.

Wonder how it got clear out where you were hunting.

Congrats Mike on the finds.

I think it is 40's, and Saginaw MI. Where i found it was an old zoo, and amusement park. I figure that the Saginaw shcool came there on a field trip.

n/t

That might be. I remember when I was in elementary schools in Sagainw that we took field trios. Detroit Zoo, Henry Ford Musuem, Greenfield Village, the State Capitol here in Lansing and even the Kellogg's Plant in Battle Creek. So you are probably right. Not often you can get info from someone who used to live in the area where something came from.

(You can add this to your find to make it more interesting for the club or whoever).

actually it is the first silver I ever found at that park! :)
