I bet that was the first time those words were uttered for 90 years or so....
I dug these two fobs today,This is the 2nd "Moon Motor Car" fob I have dug.I have found lots of info about the Moon motor car co-My father tells me that my grandfather once owned a Moon.I can't find much about the actual fob...
I haven't been able to find anything concerning "Pennant motor oil"I did get a couple of hits on Pierce oil corp.-but not a lot.Too bad it is damaged.Any antique car buffs ever heard of Pennant motor oil?

Dan,
I did a quick Google search for "pennant oil" (use the quotes!) and the following is from one of the hits:
"Starting one of the first motor-court chains between Illinois and Oklahoma in 1928, William Clay Pierce of Pierce-Pennant Oil Company built the Big Chief Hotel in Pond, Missouri. Using the "Spanish Mission plan" he lined an interior courtyard with rooms while also proving an office, gas station, and cafe. Although not a Thomas Jefferson, Pierce reinvigorated a usable past that was imitated by motel developers for years."
Where is Pond, Missouri?? I'm guessing it's close to the "Pond of the Ozarks"!
Neat find!

Jim <-- born in Misery, uh, Missouri.

I have some around somewhere. I like them much better than coins. Coins are good but these are just more personal it seems

Dan,
Mapquest shows it WSW of St. Louis on Hwy 100. 20 or 30 miles?
Odd name for a town, but Mo has other odd names, like Halfway and Licking...
My wife's uncle was telling us about when he was in the service and his mom sent him the "Licking News". Man, did he get a lot of grief from his buddies from that!

I would love to buy the Moon fob, or get information on buying one or a radiator emblem off a Moon. Can anyone help me with this problem.
