Today's civil war relics with the G2

I got out today & did some relic hunting. We did a little better today. The G2 never lets me down. Thanks for looking. HH

No its the plain G2. It's a great detector. Simple & easy to use. Sensitive & deep. I use big after market coils on it. They really wake it up in the depth department. I dug a couple 11"-12" bullets yesterday. Now they didn't sound the best but the machine told me they were there & pinpointed right for a bullet. HH

I'm getting ready to pick up a G2+ and trying to read all the reviews I can. Most of it has been positive.

I have a F19. It has more features than my G2. I like the simplicity of the G2. It's straight forward.

The only thing I would do to the G2 is add the back light & a frequency shift. That would make it the absolutely perfect detector. Oh and the factory offer bigger coils like a 15" DD. That's just my wish list.

I went ahead and ordered the G2+ LTD. should arrive this week. I'm hoping it will be an easy transition from my F70.

They varied from on top of the ground to 11"-12".

That's impressive depth and good to know as I do more relic hunting than anything else.

The G2 is simple to set up & detect with. I set the gain as high as possible set the break at 40 ground balance it & off you go. Simple buddy. The thing is a big after market coil. That's what opens the depth up.
