Today's beach finds

John(Tx)

New member
Went to the beach today and hunted low tide which was at 8pm. Only was able to hunt a couple of hours before it got too dark. Found a man's large silver ring, 1950 silver quarter, 1963 silver dime, 6 wheaties (1936-194:geek:, 1925 buffalo nickle that I can just barely make out the date, a bunch of clad and fishing weights. Found one junk ring that got me excited when I saw the color of gold in my scoop but when I started rubbing the ring the gold started flaking off...lol Last week at this same beach I found a 1942 quarter and 4 wheaties. They were all found in knee deep water. I can hardly wait for the winter months so I can work this beach at low tide with the north wind blowing pushing the tide even further out. This area has alot of small iron trash but the Excal II handled that with ease. Thanks for looking. HH

Looks like a decent day of detecting, keep it up John.

Nice Haul John....Like the Old ring and coins..............Joe

We are lucky, the tide carried it Eastward and not to the West, I feel for the people effected by this oil spill, hard for them to make a living. Good hunting to all. John
