Just had to take advantage of this fantastic weather today for my first work day hunt. Back to the same area of the park where Park Pirate and I have been having great luck lately. First good find was the 1926 Buffalo nickel. Then I dug the little pewter chicken. I love finding those old toys and have pulled dozens of them out of this park. I found one of these chickens years ago but I broke the legs off it. Made sure this one made it home in one piece. Added a second buffalo nickel , a 1919 before digging one of those iffy signals that Park Pirate has been cleaning up on. It turned out to be a very deep 1899 Barber dime. I'm thinking of changing my forum name to great white buffalo hunter. I've already dug 10 buffalo nickels this year which puts me 10 ahead of last year's pace !
