Today's 8/8 Hunt was another hot one.

Headed out to a house early about 8:30am with my buddy that we have permission to hunt anytime.
We have pulled numerous nice coins from the property in the past (2 hunts total there) and we did not do to bad again this morning.
I got the big flat-tie there and the Merc and a some of the wheat's in the pic from there. My buddy did pretty decent pulling some old wheat's and back-marked flat-ties as well.

We then headed on down the road and got permission from 2 other spots but, one we did not have time to hunt.
The one we did hunt was as old as are first stop 1875'sh but, the grass was taller and the ground was evenly lumpy LOL.

We both got some more coins but, my nicest from the two places we hunted came from here.
I got that typical faint silver sound that was bouncing high mid then bouncing down to the right. Upon switching to all metal I got a more distinct signal which is a nice sign.
I dug down about 8" and threw in the X1 and there was that sound I live for in hunting.
My bad luck was though it was under a root (you can see the root in the hole bottom in the pic.
I really wanted to let my buddy hear it prior to the dig for fun but, after yelling several times and throwing a small dirt clod at him I gave up and dug it out. I was lucky to not Ric it as I was able to go to the opposite side of the root after digging the other side deeper and push it out.
It was on edge as I pushed it out so, the depth and that factored in on the really faint tone and bounce,

Around 12:30pm it was 95* out and without shade it was getting rather sticky and hot out so, we called it another day.
We will be going back but, I will hunt probably elsewhere tomorrow, but I hope instead it rains all day as we are still drought ridden.

I think I ended the day with 8 wheat's and the oldest was 17, two buckles, flattened old copper spoon end, old broach, a Merc and a Barber.
Here are my digs for today minus the junk for the most part. I was really wanting/hoping for 3 Indians today to reach 50 since starting this years season but, I take what I am given.

First was the Flat-tie with a little piece of pottery found in the same hole.

Here is the Merc I got from the first stop (43).

Here is my best find for today a 13 Barber (sadly once again no S) and then a pic. of my total digs for today.
