I finally got a chance to go out for my test ride with my new CTX3030, I found myself a little confused, naturally it's not my AT Pro, I finally settled in after an hour or so. I just took some time, a couple extra breaths and slowed down. I had to say to myself, your not going to learn this machine in a half hour A local park in my neighborhood with lots of trash & clad. It's the same park where I found my first gold ring. It feels good to have a few hours under my belt now, its time to dig in and learn as much as I can about this bad boy .......I feel the goods coming. I wanted to share some pictures of my first hunt with you all, thanks for looking ..... Happy Hunting All _Cliff

Nice hunt. I had the same experience today. My first hunt as well. Joe

Not bad for your first hunt.

Nice haul for you too. Looks like 3 of us had our first hunts with the CTX... I'm glad I'm not the only one in the wadding pool with the CTX... I think the old timers with the CTX are laughing at us splashing around. Anyway... Congrats on your first hunt.

That is funny. Well I'm not an old timer considering I have only had my machine for a year now and a total time detecting on it of about three-four months. Time with the CTX 3030 is just an illusive obstacle that can be overcome with a combination of practice, knowledge, and persistence. Remember to never forget the excitement of finding something good.

ive only recently got my ctxand not yet got to realy use it lots of snow and icehere in northern vt . I did take it out to walk around a local school yard while my kids used there sleds on the school hill it was fun lots of sounds to here some deep targets 10 or more inchs by the meter but I did no digging yet like I said lots of snow and frozen ground still a few weeks off to realy start detecting again
