We went to a park for a quick before the heat set in. default settings ,gain 30 , 3 tone just cherry picking surface signals
the ground is way to dry to cut big plugs so we just dig to 3 inches for now. if we don't cut perfect plugs some times the next
day the dirt is out of the hole. Now we think did we fill in the hole , course we did , so why is the hole open?
we were taking a break, when a squirell came and tried to dig one of our plugs. couldn't believe it,
he probably thinks we are trying to steal his nuts. we assured him that we would never do such a thing. hopefully tomorrow
he will leave our plugs alone. point is we have to make them big enough that he [the squirell]can't take them out. we don't
want the park rangers to tell us to leave.

12 quarters
15 dimes
0 nickles
42 pennies
1 tractor trailor
1 jack daniels token [without the jack daniels] 1914
1917 merc
1958 penny

Another culprit is the lawn mowers. If the plug is dry and small, the lawn mowers will suck the plug right out of the hole. Small, shallow plugs in dry dirt = not so good. Kills the grass too.

Hey tom , you are correct. forgot to mention this is dirt, no grass, to dry to plug in grass mostly used screw driver that is why 3 inches.
thanks for the catch.
