We had a blast when it was nothing but the moon out I had to drag him home!!!LOL I found out that we need better digging equipment then what I had available that is for sure! I also found out that bug spray is my friend! So he wants to go back to the park tomorrow and I told him no problem. So I would say all is going well so far! He has been reading the book I got on old forts,rail road stations,abandoned mines etc...... in out area. All he talks about now is the information in the 1212X owners manual! He was quick to inform me that his manual said not to store your detector int he trunk of your car because it could damage it! Lucky for me my 8400's owners manual say's othing about that at all!!!LOL
So far all the advice and help that have been offered to us from member of the community has been great! Someone has even offered my son a pair of head phones free of charge! So if this is the type of spirit this hobby is full of I think it is going to be a good place for me and all three of my boys! It is nice to be around good people with good hearts!!

i have my youngest daughter kinda interested. at times she will want to go out with us and detect. she has her own detector. its fun when your with family.
