Today is my birthday and I had a little early morning gift. When I got up and looked our my back window there was a nude swimmer in my pool!

Never a dull monent around here. We put in this pool ten years ago and this was a first. When I looked out the window a doe and her twin fawns were in the back yard. The unusual thing about this was one of the fawns jumped into my pool! The little thing was swimming around and trying to get out with no luck. I went out to see what I could do to help and mamma was not too happy about that. She finally trotted off with the other fawn and I gave the latest deer rescue a try. The hard part is to corner a deer in a round pool. I did manage to get hold of the little guy and guess what. They can scream and kick like crazy! My son Jim showed up and between the two of us we made a capture pole out of 11/2" drain pipe and some nylon strap. I grabbed the little guy and put the strap loop around his neck. We then just pulled him out of the pool and onto the lawn. I took the loop off and petted his head. He jumped up, looked me in the eye and let out a loud bleat before running off towards his mamma at a very good sprint. I wish I had more photos of the rescue, but I was a little wet and my hands were full of venison.
