Today had a silver lining.

Man, started the morning trying to obtain permission, bad timing(Sunday) 7 knocks, 1 no, 5 no answers and finally 1 yes. the yes turned into a big nothing burger, 3 clad pennies. So I went back to a permission I hit last weekend that gave up a few wheats and a couple of silvers and a semi-rare token. I redid most of the yard and was ready to call it a day, but, went back to a spot where I found a couple of silver dimes. I decided to hit it at another angle and got a iffy signal that gave a nice high tone every other sweep, the numbers on the CTX were bouncing, but, target trace was showing a somewhat of a hit around the 12 line. Dug down about 5 inches expecting to pull out a wheat when out pops a barber. I re-scanned the hole in all metal, 2-3 inches from the hole I was getting an iron grunt, no doubt the culprit throwing off the numbers. After that I decided to call it a day. It cleaned up really nice for around here.
