Today finds

Went out today to a park in Pensacola. I found my frist Barber dime a 1905s. We also found 3 mercury dimes and 8 wheat backs. Not a bad day

All the dimes were found near a dock they were rebuilding. So they have been sitting in salt water for years. Slatwater makes them turn black.

I downloaded and color corrected the picture. By removing some of the yellow, I can see that it is BLACK. I occasionally run into this black on my silver coins. I use Mothers Mag polish to clean it off (on non-key date coins).
