Today find

I would love to see your finds but can't wait 10 minutes for the picture to open.
Lowering your resolution will only affect printing but the view will still look awesome.

I have DSL and it still started looking like the surface of the moon when all I could see at first were the "raters" of your paper towel magnified so large! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> For those with only dial up connections it can become very frustrating waiting to see an image and many will just stop the process and move on to another post, even though they REALLY DO want to see your photo! So folks just don't have the time to sit around waiting. So here are a hint or two to help out. Be mindful, I'm NOT an expert at this, so this is just some simple suggestions that help ME!
1 - Lower your pixel resolution to about 800x600 pixels or lower, if the image is smaller. This is usually 35% to 50% of the original image depending on the quality resolution you originally took the photo.
2 - If the main image IS smaller than the whole picture then go ahead and crop it down so only the main object of your photo shows (unless you MEAN to show a landscape of course...then just lower the pixel resolution.
3 - If you don't want to "mess up" your original photo just do your changes but "SAVE AS..." to rename and save it on your desktop or somewhere you can find just for posting ONE TIME ONLY. This way the original image is still whatever it was called and set up as when you first opened it. But the copy to be posted will be sitting and waiting on your desktop for you to use.
NOTE: As Johnny B said, lowering your resolution does NOT,in any way, effect the quality of picture we'll see here on the web. It only affects quality of hard prints and hard print blowups. OK?
