Norm and I met up with Fieldboy, his wife, and his son. We went in at 12th street and worked south. I was in the smurf suit, and went out to about waist deep. No targets out there. Lots of shells on the beach, beach was kinda steep but no cut. Not many finds either. Ohh, and one other thing, the water and air was COLD!! HH

Heh...I'm only going to SHOW UP when THEY start finding stuff. I thought about going down there today but I figured it would be like that so I didn't. In fact, I took my first FULL WEEKEND off from detecting in a LONG time. I've been doing the land thing and posting over at the Explorer forum all winter. But this weekend I decided to do some yard work, go running, ride the motorcyle a little bit, do some stuff with the wife...that kind of thing. Normal stuff that people who aren't obsessed with metal detecting do.

Don't worry...it was just temporary!

Honestly, every year things work pretty much the same. Right around the end of May...Memorial Day weekend, I usually find my first gold. From then on things get good quick. And that's when you will see me come back. Unless there's a decent storm before then.

There's wisdom from the professor, I like it! I actually did stuff with my wife last monday, but I had to go get some gold on sunday, just to keep things in perspective. OK, I admit it, I have a problem! Hey, I'm not taking drugs, drinking and chasing wild women! Just great clean fun!
