Although nothing outstanding, been sniffing around a couple of old spots enough that have garnered up a variety of finds.
The first pic is of this mornings take. Hit the 2 wheat cents, pretty much in the same hole, a 19d and a 20, shortly after beginning the hunt. Then ran into tabman who was working with a new detector. He kind of went in one direction and I in another. Besides the occasional piece of clad, several of which were more recent drops, I hit a couple of pieces of lead, the Apollo NASA piece, the thin gold plated pin shown just above the quarters, then a ratty sounding hit which turned out to be a 1903 I H cent from maybe 4" deep. Right near the end of my hunt I got a sweet 83/84 reading showing 6" and plucked the 1906 Barber dime. Right beside it just a few inches away was the piece of horse tac.
Yesterday on the same location, but a different area, I recovered the 26 Mercury dime and the 46 Rosie along with a couple of older wheats. A couple of days before that I hit the other I H, a 1907 and a big 3 ringer. The early part of the week I recovered the sterling basket with stem and flower. It apparently had a pin attachment on it that had rusted away. On that same hunt I recovered the small 10k gold ring. It was a perfect nickel reading. This group is all shown in the second picture. All recoveries were made with the A T Pro with the 11" coil. HH jim tn
