Toasted wheaties, rosie and earring

Found these in a saltwater environment in San Diego, didn't realize how harsh it is on the wheaties. Could only get a date off one of them (1956), one has a partial 194?. I think this is the remains of a silver earring, it was dark gray and encrusted before I cleaned it a bit. It was intact when I found it, but extremely flexible. I broke it messing around with it. No stamp inside that I could find, it's in pretty bad shape. This place seems to have some fairly old items but is littered with nails and such. It's got to have some jewelry, any hunting tips?

Thanks,
Steve
