To WOT Or Not To WOT

I've been considering purchasing a WOT coil for my Explorer II. I currently have the 10" stock coil with which I've done quite well. I also have the smaller 7.5" Minelab coil. Any first hand experiences and opinions would be greatly appreciated.

SunRay 12" and the only advantage it had over the stock coil was it covered a little more ground and a fuzz lighter. Pretty hard to beat the stock coil, it goes real deep. Some day I will buy a WOT just to try it out. If you get one I'd like to hear your opinion of it.

Ed,

Thank you for your courteous reply and accurate advice.

I posted on The Friends, The Minelab, & The Minelab Classroom. I received the information I sought on the Minelab Forum, which included a PM with specifics.

Hello Craig,

I appreciate your comment.

I don't know what it is, but Vernon has always had just what it takes to bring out the worst in me.

That's not really true. Vernon and D.C. in Idaho were primarily responsible for my activity on this forum.

I encourage my creative writing students to write in various regional dialects. I've been doing that for decades. Every once in a while it's just fun to do myself.

Respectfully,

The Nutty Teacher
