before I go and purchase the battery pack... I'd like to know first hand how many hrs your getting before a recharge is 20-25 hrs of hunting factual...or more???

You do buy directly from them also.. correct??

Mark, there are dealers that sponsor this website who sell them. I am planning on buying one this week, and am also curious how much detecting time people are getting out of a single charge.

I won one on here and can tell you..... its absolutely the best thing since peanut butter. If you are used to using the standard rechargable this thing will amaze you with how long it lasts. Ive also let it set for a month uncharged and it looses little if any charge. Use it 3 good hunts and its still fully charged doesnt drop like the standard by the end of the day. Anytime i get a battery that drops below half out there i change it. So this battery really gives you confidence that you arent loosing depth. Not only that.... the battery charger has a green and red light telling you when its full and it will charge in UNDER 2 hours. Ive also tested the voltage since the manual says not to use lith. batteries because they produce over 13 dcv. Well this one is limited to below that. Another thing about lith. batteries.... undercharging this these do will get you twice the life time. To me they are well worth the money.

He did a thorough test and shows pics of it connected to a volt meter at different stages of use:thumbup:

I agree with you dewcon...I think it's great! After seeing Bryce's continue to power the SE after nearly 30 hours of use both Dave-IL and I each bought one...and LOVE it!

have gotten 29 hours + of use in the field EACH TIME before needing to recharge.:surprised:

I've used it in the E-trac too with the same result....29 hours +.

It's a great investment for your Explorer or E-trac.

As a couple of my hunting buddies stated below (Dave and Brad)....they were so impressed with the life I was getting out of mine that they both called Joe and purchased one too.

They love theirs also.

a short line on the battery life scale might mean you still have 5 more hours with that battery. Heck, it could last 35-40 hours!!!

I got mine paid for .... time to stalk the mailman.

Does it come powered up or do you have to charge it before the first time using it ?

ONLY TWO HOURS or less to get a FULL CHARGE!:surprised:...so Dave that's all you'll need to wait before you pop it in and go hunting.

Neal...In each and all of my recharges so far I have gotten between 29 and 30 hours of hunt time before the RNB crapped out on me.

It's just amazing to be worry free on battery life out in the field. I don't even pay attention to the battery life bar on the explorer...I just keep track of my hours on the battery.

Oh yeah !! Put me in coach, I'm ready to play !!!! :super:

Ok, am I losing my mind or is there something missing from the box? How the heck am I supposed to plug this into the wall outlet ??

goes from there into the wall. Give Joe a call and I'm sure he'll fix you up.

Thanks Dave. I bought it from Chuck at Indian Nations Detectors. I will have to get in touch with him first and go from there ..

Thank you very much Joe. And no worries here, as you can see we are still in winter lock-down. So as much as I'd like to charge it up and go it's just not going to happen tomorrow, or even next week for that matter :surrender: .... thanks again .. excellent customer service from RNB, and of course from Chuck Marcum as always.

Update .... the missing cord came in the mail yesterday .. thanks again Joe at RNB !

And just so everybody knows, I plugged it in to charge at 7:30pm last night and the light turned green at around 9:20pm. That's fast !! Can't wait to put it to the test .. :detecting:
