Looks like it's zeroing in on the "target". Interesting effect and nice pic!

I take it from your comment that you didn't notice it at the time you took the picture? It definitely adds something to a very nice flower photo. Those colors & patterns are wonderful. Boy ... it's hard to outdo nature, isn't it?
 
I guess with age we miss things that small at times. I didn't see the little fellow and was happy to see him when loading the picture. Just wish he had been just a bit sharper.

Hey John,this is the same picture with no saturation increase the only thing was resize and slight sharpening.
 
I thought you were going to play along with John and photoshop the tiny creature "out" of the picture. Now that would have been funny! :laugh
 
Tom do you ever try the 'Unsharp Mask' in Photoshop, you would be amazed how sharp a photo gets, but a little goes a long way, very easy to overuse it.

Try it next time if you have not used it.
