Just a quick update.
At this time last evening we were faced with the VERY real possibility that my 7-year-old granddaughter, Akira, was facing an uncertain future with a probably diagnosis of Devic's Syndrome, which is a type of MS. It is fatal many times and is quite capable of robbing the patient of any sort of a normal life. It progresses with age. Her prognosis was not good because this disease is hereditary and three people on my ex's side of the family have this disease.
But prayer DOES work, and I praise His name. I want to thank each and every one of you for lifting her up to the good Lord above. God can do ANYTHING without our prayers. But the fact is, He wants to hear from His people and have a relationship with them. That can't happen until there is communication--just like a relationship here on earth with anyone. No commo--no relationship.
So, thanks so much again. I will finish my story of the old professor soon. But right now, I really just need the luxury a full night's sleep.

As the 'big brother" of us Garretts, I cheerfully and thankfully report that both Linda and Tom are making marked progress with their own health issues. Tom is much past the half-way point on his injections and Linda seems to be improving daily.
Although both of them have a ways to go, they are making headway and thank each of you for your thoughts and (especially) intercessory prayers. That is what makes the difference--I'm sure of it. So, thank you for 'standing in the gap for all of us.
Blessings to each of you. (Psalms 34:15) <><
