To honor a friend's gift !

A good friend gave me a 3 1/2" cannonball found around Quebec city last year. It was 20 inches deep in a woody area. This cannonball was fired by Wolf's army agains Montcalm troups in the siege of Quebec in 1759. Probably fired by one of the ships that came as reinforcement and that settled the battle.
I wanted to exibit that cannonball at work so i made a little display, as small as I could make it to put on my new desk at the office.
I can only dream of ever finding sutch a nice historical artefact and i'm really gratefull to the good fellow detectorist who gave it to me !

It's unfortunate though, that there are still those who don't know that the battle ended almost 250 years ago.
My wife is a francophone from Montreal (since 1689), I'm an anglophone from Toronto(since 1753). We get along fine and we're married so we can't understand the French/English thing at all. Another 20 years and it won't matter as we'll both be minorities in our own country.
Maybe that's why we live in Bermuda now.

Cheers,
