To dig or not to dig....

....Well in this case it was a good thing I did dig! Just minutes before finding the necklace I dug up this pop top, both showing up as a 20 on my XT70

Way to go Mach2, it is a good idea to dig anything in the 20s huh?

Mach2,

Hey Man!! I have found small gold ear rings and rings as low as 6 and larger gold jewelry all the way up into the 20s. Go by your instincts, if it sounds good check it out.

God Bless and HH,

Very nice find! Is it silver or gold? I really am just wondering, Beale.

You know Beale I'm not quite sure if its silver, I know its not gold. I am wondering if its stainless, I got to thinking if it was silver it would have hit at a larger TID then 20, wouldn't it? I'm gonna take it to a jeweler for an answer.

Yea I would do the same. I have one silver chain similar. If I remember right it hit a bit higher. But you never know. Good luck with it, Beale.

If the chain has 925 stamped on the end by the clasp that means its silver. If white gold it will stamp 10k or 14k - 18k ck it out with a magnifying glass or loop.

I thought sterling silver only had the 925 stamped on it, standing for 92.5 percent silver?

You are right. I should put (sterling silver)
