TO COLD TO DETECT? Think again.

For many people it is too cold to detect.
The batteries in the Ace will die in a matter
of an hour or less, but with a simple method
of using a hand warmer and a sock, you can
spend all day bundled up and detecting. The
batteires will maintain their charge. The
hand warmer will usually last 8 to 10 hours
or longer. See photos on what to do. It's
real simple. Some of the people here already
know how to do this but for many new people,
they have never thought of this.

Cut an old sock in half. Starting with the
piece with the toe, cut a hole so you can thread
through the coil cord and the head set cord.

Open the control box and place a hand warmer
right on top. If you have never used a hand warmer
make sure you read the directions on the package
to get the chemicals inside the pack started. It's easy.

Place the lid back on top but do not try to close
it completely; it won't fit. Now place a piece of tape
all the way around the lid and control box to hold lid
in place.

You can now pull the sock up over the control box.
I use clear tape to hold the sock in place but masking
tape works just as well. Clear tape looks nicer.

You can use both pieces of sock if you want for
extra padding to hold the warmth in. I place a piece of tape
on the lip and fould it under. I also use a piece on the back
to make sure the sock stays in place

You are now ready to step out into the cold and detect.
Bundle up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hand warmer will keep the batteries warm for
8-10 hours. You won't be able to reuse the warmer.

I get mine at WalMart. Cheap!

Happy Hunting!!!!
