to CODY : I need advice for Mineralized soil

Hello cody.

I had in a location, my fathers Vineyard, more erroneous readings with my exII.

All readings was "positive" such 7.21, 10.25, 0.31 and so.

After i diged 5 holes and search the holes/soil carefully i found nothing!!

>>>as Users hier in forum says, must be a high mineralized soil.

I had running my exii with factory preset settings(adj. sensitive to manual).

I need, please some advice from you, to setup my explorer to avoid this erroneous readings.

thanks in advantage!

I see a lot of folks have attempted to help you with the "problem". Do this, post your email address, and I will help you work it out. I am pretty sure I know what the problem is an it is not the detector.

Cody,

He is asking the right guy! I would like to know what you find out. I have seen a number of post indicating similar problems. I would like know answers to the following:

#1 What are the settings for sensitivity, gain and masking?

#2 How loud are the target tones?

#3 Are there a great many targets indicated over a small area?

#4 What are the depth readings on the detector?

#5 Is the pinpointing is being done correctly?

#6 Is he using a probe?

HH,
Glenn

The guy said he is new to Detecting, No Probe and Detecting in a Vineyard. My Opinion: If he is getting somekind of hits......Probably whatever hold them Vines up ! (OR) He happened to hit the Vines in season and was testing them along the way :stars: The guy said he did not find any targets after sifting the dirt between his hands. Anyway, I think that Cody will straighten this fellow out !

Good Day !!

Buzz - There are typicaly 3 to 6 steel wires (10/12 ga) strung between wood post for support. The rows are usualy 6" to 8" apart. That may be his problem.

Hello Guys.

Thank you for those many responses.

@Captain Kirk, @Buzz.

In my fathers vineyard are nothing from metal to support the vine !!!! The vine-trees are about 50 cm high. I have very carefully checked and asked my father for metal targets!!! THERE IS NOTHING FROM METAL.

THIS ERRONEOUS READINGS ARE 100% from the soil. The soil(LIGHT BRAUN) has very small particles so i can search with my hand very easy and has no trash.

@ cody :

My e-mail address are rakita1964@yahoo.com BUT Iam far away from my explorer..I cant check you suggestions yet........ after 6 Months again.

THE VINEYARD IS SO IMPORTANT BECAUSE MY FATHER SAYS THERE MUST BE A HOARD OF GOLD COINS!!!.

>>>ARE REALLY NOTHING TO DO AGAINST HIGH MINERALIZED SOIL ?????<<<<<<<<

thanks in advantage.

Hello cody.

I have read your post in this forum about Ghost signals and tree-roots.

I have forgotten to write in this position of my fathers vineyard are a very old tree (cut) but the roots are there!!. Around this roots had i the Ghost signals. The sounds was HIGH PITCH.

Maybe is this the problem??(IF so ....are nothing to do against this??)
