To clarify True all metal

Both the new Ace 150 and 250 have true all-metal modes.
this is not the same as 0 disc, the all-metal will give you more depth, just the same as the 2500 will.
I used them at the Garrett Academy and Dealer seminar last week. They are AWESOME.

I asked Mary at Garrett about my GTA 1000 and Master Hunter CX that i own. The 1000 does not have True All Metal and the CX does. I did not know that but now i do. I had asked about the 1350 Zero mode compared to the 1000 all metal and she said they are the same with a very small amount of discrimination. Now i know the rest of the story.

I understand all metal mode to be a non-motion with a faint threshhold tone. Is this what the Ace 250 has?

It is all in how you run your sensitivity, when you run it up higher you can hear the threshold tone.
You will get more depth in the all-metal mode, it can hear the deeper targets that are beyond the reach of the disc mode.
So if you are in an area that lets say is not real trashy, it is easy to use as you won't hear all the constant beeps you would if you were in a lot of trash.
If that don't bother you, use it anywhere.
The good thing about the 150 and 250 is that it will id "and" tone id in the all metal mode, so you could mostly go by sound rather than watching the face plate on the control box all the time while you are sweeping.
Tone id in all metal is a great leap forward!

Is one of the tones our beloved belltone?
