I have been using a Whites for over 20 years and was thinking about getting a Garrett, I finally got a pro pointer and Love it. I watch a lot of You Tube videos about Metal detecting and there is one young man that goes by Nuggetnoggin. He has been making videos for a long time and is a huge Garrett fan. He is always promoting there products.. I spoke with this young man and asked if Garrett paid him to promote there products. He told me they didn't they only gave him some small trinkets like patches. COME ON GARRETT this is a multi Million dollar business. this young man is a Huge spokes person for Garrett and all they can do to show this young man there appreciation is some patches? The Least they could do is invite him to go with them on a hunt,He just bought a new AT pro or I would say give him a new detector. It obvious the young fella loves Garrett and why not too they make some good stuff and have been around awhile. Who knows maybe one day Garrett may give this kid a job! Best of luck to him :thumbup:

Garrett may not be paying him, but if his videos allow ads and he has signed with the adsense thing on Youtube he is making some money.

And if Garrett were paying him they would be writing checks for many others as well.
 
Well this thread is titled to Charles Garrett, so I'll just say thank you so very much Charles Garrett for all the years of enjoyment I've gotten using your detectors. I have found much in the last forty-two years with your machines, keep up the great work!!
 
Yes Nuggett71 all the other forums for major brands frown on you saying anything good about another brand, I have been scolded by Fox on Whites forum a couple times.I would think they would want feed back so they can inprove there machines. OH well have a great day, and Happy hunting:detecting:
