Titanium stainless steel ring and clad today

Well-known member
Went to the river today and saw a huge snake where I go into the water. Found a titanium stainless steel ring: TMA-316L-China and it had a faint skull & crossbones on it. Hoped it was white gold, but was pretty sure it was stainless steel and checked it out on a search engine. 6 quarters, 1 nickel & 7 pennies. No photos today but maybe later this week. GL & HH.
Sadly, the at/pro was really acting up today and I will send it back to Garrett after the water comes back up in a few weeks.

Hey Fongu, as John is fond of saying, a ring is a ring is a ring...... and it's nice to get out and enjoy the end of year hunting weather!!

If you are getting stainless steel rings, you are getting what a lot of other hunters notch out. And some stainless steel rings have gold bands around them. A nice find in my books.

A ring is better than... I went out several times this year and found Tatainium ring after Tat ring finally found a Stainless steal one

Ok Fongu, watch out for Anaconda's , they like to rap around waders, and wet suits.

Thats good work for this time of the year, or anytime for that matter...:clapping: Sorry to hear about your Pro, hopefully you will be back in business soon! We enjoy seeing your hunts!

That makes me hurt the way she is posed. Two ladies I was talking to that were walking the dry area of the river said they stepped on a small gator and thought it was dead, but it wasn't. She admitted it probably was as scared as she was and I kept hearing jaws music the rest of the time I was detecting. The water is dark with low visibility and everytime I walked out as far as my chest waders would go and stepped on a small limb or anything, it preyed on my mind. The weather was 78 degrees yesterday and I hope to use my wetsuit this Saturday.

Nice find on the stainless steel. Garrett will take care of you on your A T problem. My big coil decided it didn't want to g b and with it on the A T it was very chattery. I called them on Tues. and will have a new coil tomorrow. Now that is my kind of customer service. Year, you need to be careful of what may come out of those creek dark depths. HH jim tn

Good to hear that you are getting out...and finding stuff!! What kind of snake was it?
This Sunday night (Dec.7) on the Discovery channel, they are going to show some dumb@$$ being EATEN ALIVE by a giant snake! HAhahaha I can't wait to watch it! What kind of idiot WANTS to be eaten by a snake? And then, does he have to wait to be pooped out? Or are they cutting the snake open? Supposedly a Green Anaconda? I got to see this, lol.

Jimtn, I know Garrett will take care of it, I just hate to send it back while the water is down. At least that was my attitude until Saturday and it's going back next week as soon as I get an authorization number and print up a label. I still found another ring that is either brass or copper with it, Saturday.
dgruff, it looked like a rattlesnake, but I didn't see the head just the mid part of the body and the tail. I don't know what I was thinking that it was a rubber snake. It's time I get somebody to stay with Mama and take a vacation. Last vacation I had was in 2007 and I need to get out and not have anything on my mind but detecting. GL & HH.
