Titanium ring and more...

REVIER

Well-known member
I don't know when this titanium wedding ring stuff became common and acceptable, by all rights I should have found gold yesterday instead.
Whatever, better than a true junk ring, I guess, plus I found a half and that is always fun seeing the edge of a bigger coin sticking out of the dirt.

Hunting the sidelines of a bunch of soccer fields, I gotta get these things cleaned up before they come in and get the fields relined and in shape for the season which will be starting soon.
So far I have found two silver rings, two silver earrings, over $20 in clad with a very large amount of nickels, dimes and quarters.
Seems pretty virgin to me, way to many great signals for me to think anyone hunted here a lot or at all in the past.
I smell gold, I know it has to be here, just gotta get a coil over it in this large place.
The Compadre got a turn yesterday, I just have so much fun hunting with that thing and when it rolls over jewelry I know.
Two days ago this place was frozen down several inches but we warmed up recently and all that ice melted and left that soil perfectly moist...not too wet, not too dry so digging was heavenly.
I have scooped up a lot of clad here but still the Compadre found more, the ring and the half were the prizes of the dayl, and even though no gold or silver finally hunting in warm weather and good soil again was all I really asked for.
I will find what I find and have fun doing it.
I sure did yesterday.

Yes, you should have found gold...it isnt your fault that ring loser was a cheapskate...you were in the right place hunting the right signals...and you DO have a nose for gold alright.. Heres to the next one being a big gold one!:beers: Halfs are always a fun and unusual find...
Mud.

Mud.

The ring was just past the L in foil.
Sounded solid like gold, came in where small or larger white gold usually does...should have been gold, but wasn't.
I am going back right now to try again.
Second time's the charm...I hope.

So far all the tungsten-carbide and titanium rings that I have found have been at the beach. It is just a little disappointing to be out in the water up to your chest and have one of those cheap suckers show up in your scoop.

That is a nice bunch of clad and a half dollar is always a nice find.

Got to love those soccer, baseball and football fields.
