Titanium Cross

Another short hunt at the hub park today... had to scoot away from the turf mower!

Dug a few caps and some nice White's guys, Dale and Bob, came by to visit.
They had a nice Uniprobe device and showed me how it worked.
I'd like one of those!

Not that my little SS uMax won't pinpoint well, it's my eyes that are the problem!

I think my spread was good, even though the White's guys said my swing was too fast...:)
A couple caps, most of a tab, and a couple nickels along with the rest.
Targets were a little deeper today, down to 4". Most here have been surface to 2".

So I found battery change, and was pleased with that, as I began to leave for an appointment.
On the last pass closing the segment of my grid I found the cross.
It's only the second piece of jewelry I've found here.
I figured it was stainless. Maybe a high school shop class project.
Looked at it with my new loupe, at home, and and discovered it said TI and a logo, so I guess it's titanium.
All the better!

Sure am happy with the little SS uMax!

Hey, that's a cool cross; I like it!
Have you weighed it?

How do you like the SIlver Umax; I've been contemplating the Golden.

Swing it slow and easy! :)

Thanks GRB,

No, haven't weighed it... yet.
I wanna get one of those spiffy digital scales...
Suppose I could/should root out my Ohaus grain scale from my reloading stuff...
Whew! That would probably get me off on another tangent, though!

This new-to-me Tesoro is an older Silver Sabre uMax with stock coil, NOT a Silver uMax, which is a newer offering from Tesoro.
I also have a Silver Sabre, and a defunct Silver Sabre Plus, in the Sabre lineup. The Plus was my favorite but it gave up.

I'll bet that Silver uMax is a great machine, with the ED-180 discrimination, and all. I'd like to get one.

My Pantera has a notch, and I like that function, and use it a lot in VERY tabby places since I am pretty much a surface hunter at recent parks. Golden Umax with notch width adjustment would be even better! Mike Hillis post makes a great presentation on them!
The Pantera has manual GB, which allows me to hunt in some places where I would not be able to, otherwise.
(They brought highly mineralized sand into a couple parks, and schools.)

It's been said, elsewhere, that the Golden was a slow seller in the lineup.
My guess is that there's not much hunting around beverage drinkers, then!

Me? I'd like to see the Vaquero with a notch instead of the frequency shifter. THAT would make it a cowboy workhorse!
Folks who competition hunt could use the Cibola?

Neat cross.

I found a titanium ear ring last year.

That's the first time I ever saw titanium in jewelry.

HH,

That's neato Tabdog...

They did a lot more work on that earring!
The cross is really straight forward.

I think the titanium might be hard to work with???
