Tire kickin' questions

I'm looking at the 705 Dual and have a few questions (complete rookie, never used a detector):

How do you handle rain...drizzle to downpour....?

I live in a ski town and people lose stuff in the snow...how does it do in sub-freezing conditions?

How waterproof are the waterproof coils? I'd like to search the bottom of mountain creeks up to 2 feet deep...

I'd like to break it down so it fits in a daypack...how complicated is that process (breakdown-reassembly)?

Thanks!
Scott

I hunt in the rain quite a bit. I put a zip loc bag on the meter and tape it. The waterproof coils are what they say(waterproof) I hunt creeks quite a bit also looking for relics. The coldest I have hunted is in the 30's and it did well. I have never hinted in any colder weather than that. Breaking it down is simple. There is one screw on the meter that holds it to the stand and you don't even have to use the screw some people take it out all together. Then there is two cam locks. I crew them and push the pins in and it comes right apart. I hope this helps. I have to say though the 5x 10 that comes with the dual is not waterproof. There is only I think there could that are not waterproof. The 5c10 and the 10.5 coils I believe.
