Tips Taking Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro SED Out of Storage?

KenO

New member
Hi,

Recently inherited a Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro SED that had been in storage for a few years.

Do know there can be a problem with electrolytic capacitors if have been in storage for years.

Have searched to check if there are any special precautions to take when want to use a metal detection that has been in storage but to date have found nothing. Also did a general forum search using "Big Bud Pro SED" but found nothing.

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

Ken

Hi LOOKIN,

"was detecting with big bud last night got $18.75 the old relic works" Glad to hear they still have some use!

"needle sticks not static cost me $$$$$$$$$$$$ to find that out have to bend needle slightly" Would you please tell me how you bent the needle without damaging it?

Also what is the minimum Voltage it will run?

Thanks

Ken

rechargeable batteries are 7.2 volts or lower
so 2 x 7.2 is 14.4 but maybe even less
newer recharge batteries have 9 volt or more
