Tip on pinpointing with the D2

I usually run my all metal a little high because of the places I hunt, the targets are really deep. If I come upon a shallow target (3 Inches or less) I have found that you can tilt your coil with your foot and pinpoint strait to it using just the tip of the coil. I have tried both ends of the coil and either end will work. Doesn't get much depth and you cant go by the depth readings but it is spot on where the target is. Might be good to use in a tot lot where things are shallow. Just thought I would post this and maybe someone can use it...

Thanks Magic, all tips are welcome. Rob

Interesting tip.. I'll try that. Was out this morning with the D2 recovering an area I've worked with the 5.3. Found a few deeper coins oldest was a 1959, and with some of the previous tips you've provided found my self rediscovering some more fun about this detector. Now I'm a HiPro maniac, with the D2.
