Tiny bit of white gold and diamonds! :clapping:

Spent almost the entire day at three different locations and did fairly well all things considered. My Propointer had to go to Texas for an intermittent issue, so I dug everything today "old school". I started off at a small park that used to be the site of two houses side by side. These were torn down sometime in the 1960s - so I figured most of the finds should be old. First target sounded good at around 5" - turned out to be a nice 1946 Wheat. Apparently this park gets used moreso than I previously imagined - I got to one point where I was digging zincolns every couple swings. I went over to the curb strip and got another solid deep signal which was a 1956 Wheat. The ground was dry and dusty and I didn't want to dig a lot of deep holes here, even though I was using a handtowel and taking my time with filling the holes.

Went around the block to the site of the first vacant lot after this and spent about 3 hours chasing deep targets - one turned out to be a fabulous 1926 Wheat...overall it was a slow day for targets; since it was so warm I cherry picked my targets after a while, digging everything above a "54" VDI, but still managed a few bottlecaps and trash. After 2 hours at this site I went back to the car and decided to try out some more vacant lots dating back to the 1920s. I was getting into my car when I saw it on the pavement, at first I thought it was a pulltab that had been cut, but it was little too brilliant for that. I picked it up and immediately saw the 585 14K marking on the inside of the earring. WOOHOO!!! First gold item of the year! Although it wasn't found with the Deus, it was a surface find discovered while hunting, so I'm going to count it!!! There appears to be five diamond chips in the band - used my tester on them and turned out to be the real deal! Unfortunately a car or two has run over the little earring, mangling it somewhat, but none of the diamonds are missing at least.

Last place I hunted was an area where the city tore out a few 1920s houses - this is a 15-acre plot of city land that has tall grass and is used for temporary storage of city vehicles. Found one Wheat, then a slew of trash and pulltabs, walked over to another area and found 3 Wheats practically in the same hole. By this time I had been outside for almost 6 hours, and decided to call it a day...
