Tiniest gold I ever found....

but it was just an eyeball find (the ATP was resting beside me, does that count??) Found it a couple of weeks back, after a hunt with Ol' Strobey. We had finished the days hunt and were sitting at a picnic table jawing a bit, I looked down and saw my favorite color, right by his foot. I reached down and picked it up and told Strobe I didn't need no stinkin' detector to find loot. I figured it was just a junk piece, but put it in my pocket and later in my desk goodies pile. Today I was looking thru the pile and decided to have a look thru the loop and the little bugger was stamped .585 stud. 14K!! Yea!! About $1 worth but still gold and a little $10 diamond too!! I'm rich!! Whee!!!!

Now for todays hunt....sad but fun!! No gold, no silver just some clad and junk...but sure beats being at work!!!

Gold is good regardless of the size.
Good eye score on your part:thumbup:

BCD,

Just out of curiousity did you pass it under your coil and did the detector respond?

Great find no matter how you find it gold is always good!
