Tin Roofing Pieces All Over

I got permission to hunt an old home site, that's still partially standing. The top floor of the building collapsed onto the first floor. I know why it did that, my dad pilfered lumber out of it when i was a kid. Who says the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, i asked permission, i swear, LOL. Anyways the porch roofs are on the ground covering some of the best places and little bits of tin are everywhere. I searched a couple or three hours, was about to give up when i found a penny. 1915. Then another one nearby 1917. This was in an area that might be the driveway where the road came up, but it was far enough away from the tin chips. There's shrubby trees, finger size. If i got back i'll take a pruner and cut them down and hunt some more. Anyway, least i found something.

Where there's a will there's a way.

Trying to hunt around a house that had aluminum siding put on years ago can be kinda tough, too. I know the feeling.

What kind of shape were the Wheats in? Do we get pics? We like pics. You are running the stock coil still I assume. You might try turning down the sensitivity a bit, that might help you get in between the trash a bit. I think I read that if you turn down the threashhold to 0 or lower it may help "disc" out some of the littler junk tin and foil. Both seem to help.

If you are hitting Wheats then you will probably find silver there too.
