TimeRanger vs Ace250

MercDigger

New member
Hello BH owners,

I have recently ordered a Bounty Hunter Time Ranger for a great price at Costco, and even though it is already on its way, I still want to know one thing. See, me and my friend are having stupid little debate about which one is more reliable and just plain better, the Ace 250 or the BH Tim Ranger. Even though he claims his Ace 250 is better than my BH Time Ranger, I am almost certain the TM is better, mainly because it has a higher retail value and more features. Even with my almost certainty, I am new to the forum and I want to see what you guys think. Which one is better?

Thanks,

Chase

Hey MercDigger, Garrett, who makes the Ace250, has a loyal following and has been around for many years. It is a "name brand" detector and as such enjoys a higher standing than the lowly Bounty Hunter brand, even though it to has been around for years. Here is my opinion; Take your time and learn your machine. Learn each mode and setting and how and when to use each to your advantage. Once you have a firm grasp of what makes your Time Ranger tick, go out with your friend and make him eat his words. It should be pretty easy. Your detector is one of many Bounty Hunter models that is highly under rated and despite what anybody tell you, it is a GREAT machine. If you do your homework with the detector, you can let it speak for itself by showing your finds to those who would say it is no good. It was, for a long time, Bounty Hunters top of the line model. There is a reason for that. Take care and happy hunting.

Ive been using a time ranger for years, tm on my 2nd ranger. great machine.

TR is a under rated machine. Learn your detector, use your detector. You'll out do the 250.
Good luck.
