Time to move on.

Well I have been wanting to move to florida for over ten years and I have decided it's time. So I am leaving Michigan around the 17 of Febuary and going down to Indiana where I am going to paint my sisters entire house for her and then I will continue my journey south to the FT Lauderdale area where I will plant my feet. I choose to do this now because if I wait untill I retire I may feel to warn out to make the move.
I have been single for the last 25 years and my children are grown up so i am not really tied down here in Michigan.
I have had the honor of being able to go detecting with several people here and was a member of the MTH club in Livonia,Mi.
I will be taking a lot of good memories with me.

Nancy has a long time girl friend she grew up with who lives near Ft Lauderdale and we might go there to see her sometime. I sure will hook up with you if so. Glad you made the decision, steve in so az

sorry to hear your moving but I'm also glad for you. My wife and I have been going to Florida for vacations. I think we have gone about 12 or 13 times now. We love it there and want to retire there also ( when we get to retirment age)
Too bad you'll be so far south we could have hooked up and detected. We will be there in march and april but will be in the north side of the state. Jacksonville area

Next year's CMD hunt is in Florida (in January ) sounds good to me! I've been to Ft Lauderdale. Great beach hunting around there I bet!

you'll be missed by many just remember you are only a phone call or internet access link away from your Bothers and Sisters here on the forum.

Good thing about Michigan is ya could use your hand to say where you live. Florida looks indecent to me so just send us a map of where you take up your new roots.

Bet ya will have mpre competition down there on the beaches. HH Brother.

Well, look at this way, You can detect more, Beach hunt all the time. But never forget you will always be at home here. Even in FL :

just moved to MO from the Ft. Lauderdale area in Oct and had been there for many, many years. It is very expensive to live down there, so hope all turns out okay for you! He and I hunted the Ft. Lauderdale beach in 1984. I found a real nice St. Patricks medal $1.00 size within a golden bezel! We had fun but had to detect in the evenings and at night, as the heat of the day is way too hot!

I doubt if I am gonna be able to come back up so soon after moving down there. But I will still be on the forum as soon as I get a internet hookup.

I don't have an area picked out yet I am going to be taking a vacation with my sisters to celebrate my 60th birthday with my twin sister.We are going to fly to Ft Lauderdale and then drive to Key West. I am going to check out the areas . I want to live in a suburb area where it won't be so expensive. Suggestions are welcome .

my twin brother and sister just celebrated their 60th in Sept, 2006! They are brother and sister twins, also! Don't know anything about FL but will ask my brother what he knows about different areas!
