Lets see.... how do i start ?? i parked my Chevy Tahoe near a power line pole and tyred to back out of a parking space and turn the same time ggrrrrrrr i hit the pole with my chrome tail pipe extension and pushed it in the back tire right up against the treads bent the heck out of it , so since i was at the car parts place i asked them for a piece of pipe so i could pull the tail pipe off the tire as i was doing that the pipe slipped out and i went flying backwards 4 steps and fell flat on my back hit the back of my head :stars: i layed there for a good minute and then stood up dazed , now my back hunts big time and i cant go detecting for awhile so what i did all freaking day was make a desktop image for my 32 inch PC screen , hey at least it,s a Sov GT with a few of my finds overlayed on the image using my photo editor , TG i have 2 Icy Hot wraps for my back  Be careful out there lol Jim

Hope your back gets better soon so you can get back in action. If I had a desktop like that, it would make it hard to stay home.:)

Jim,just take it easy and give yourself time to mend.Your computer icon is interesting.Good Luck Ron

I hope that was meant to be a funny story because you had me laughing. I've had days like that too. The desktop thing looks cool. Good idea.

By the way, off and on for years I was having back issues here and there. Until I went to a chiropractor barely being able to walk in and I walked out feeling 100%. Those guys are amazing, I don't care what anybody says. But anyway, he told me my back problems were from sleeping on my side. He said start putting two pillows stacked on top of each other under my knees and lay on my back in bed. At first I couldn't stand it, but now I prefer laying that way. It puts your vertebra back into alignment, where as laying on my side or without pillows would cause them to drift. Laying the proper way you've got all night for your back to heal and pull things into alignment as they should be. Also, he said it's OK to lay on your side but keep one or two pillows between your knees to keep your back in the proper position. Works great, and once again I can't sleep without those pillows now as it's very comfortable.

Do I still have back issues? Sure, here and there, but not nearly as bad as I did before. Normally now if my back bothers me it's because of something stupid I did like bend down to pick a bunch of things up at an odd angle, or twisting my back while lifting when you are only supposed to use your knees. Glucosomine and condrontine also do wonders for your back and your joints as they rebuild cartilage.

Critter I guess when you think about it it might be funny but it was not when i hit my head on the pavement lol , i went to a Chrio once for a year until he was able to compress my lower back disc back in alignment it imploded talk about pain !!! it,s ok now sometimes gives me a little trouble if i detect to long in those huge farm fields i need to pace my self each day . Jim

Hitting your head is never really that funny considering the long term consequences.
I've got my bell rung more than a few times including a major ding a few years back that would have killed me but for the bike helmet. Violent bicycle accident where head hit the concrete so hard the helmet cracked. I had memory loss, headaches and cognitive difficulties for about a year until they finally subsided. I especially got frightened when I would try to handwrite and the words and letters would be jumbled. Full recovery I am thankful for tho.

Protect the ol noodle, leave the bike at home and hit the beach w the GT!

Wish you a speedy recovery and HH!

Bicycle or chopper a helmit is the way to go , glad to hear you recovered well . Jim
