Time Ranger

Thanks. I just ordered one and was wondering. Been detecting 32 years. Owned about 40 or 50 detectors. Own 10 now. Because of the very low price of the Time Ranger, I decided to try one....Jack

I hope you didnt get the time ranger for too much. I heard that it retails for over $500, but you can get it for less than $200 from ebay or costco.

This is my first post here -- I have enjoyed reading several posts and thought I would register and get involved. Hi, all!

Hey aschwars --

I checked costco and ebay, nothing at all at costco anymore, and nothing on ebay (new) for under $300. I have seen posts here from Dec. 2010 saying that Radio Shack, Kmart, and Meijer has had them in the 150-ish range very recently, but all of these stores are sold out, and thus I expect not getting any more in (since they are discontinued). All other places I've found online still have them at no less than about $300. Anyone know of anywhere else to get one of these under $200?

Thanks so much!

Steve

I have 2. They were purchased earlier this month on sale. I am going to keep one and I had planned to sell the other for a small profit after the discounted units were sold out. It is new in its box with accessories, etc. I can let you have it for $199.99 plus $15 shipping.

Suninyourhand --

Thanks much for the offer. Smart move on your part, buying an extra to sell later! Unfortunately, the budget tells me that I really need to stay closer to the $150 to 160ish range if at all possible. Let me do a bit more searching and digging -- and if I don't have any more luck I will have to consider either finding a way to come up with the extra $50, or else lowering my sights on which model I can afford...

Thanks!

Steve

Suninyourhand --

Having NO LUCK AT ALL so far finding a new Time Ranger at a price I can justify. Still considering your offer...is there a way to send PMs on this site? I may end up wanting to communicate with you if I can't locate something cheaper, but hate to post email addresses on forums (the SPAM issue!)
