TIME RANGER

Can anyone tell me if the Time Ranger is a good detector for salt water beach hunting? Does it have a problem with wet sand?

I don't know about salt water searching, but the coil is waterproof, and if you rinse off the coil after use, you shouldn't have any problems. I have a Time Ranger and love it. I have had it in the lake an my in-laws. Did a manual ground balance, work like a charm. Any problems with wet sand and salt, you can do a manual ground balance.

Almost all single frequency detectors have trouble with salt water. Detectors like the Mine Lab and PI machines work the best.

Why is it called a "Time Ranger?"

Is there a time machine circuit in it or something?

If you use it on a battle ground from the war between the states will the user be transported back to the early 1860s?

Whats up with that name?

"Is there a time machine circuit in it or something?"

Mark. I like that! Very cool.
As for why it's called a "Time Ranger?" No idea. I often wondered that myself. Maybe because it's so cool, you'll spend allot of time using it.
Wish it had a time circuit in it "Flux Capacitor?" :super: But wouldn't it be cool to go back in time and use a MT to search for stuff?

Well Drummerman, it would be cool going back in time with a MD, however I would most likely be accused of being a witch or something and then being stoned to death. That part I would not find to be cool.
