TIME RANGER:bounty:????:confused:

The Time Ranger is a VERY good, deep detector, that has a lot of features ( blanker, sniff, no-motion all metal and more). It's made by 1st Texas Products, the manufacture of leading modern detectors such as the Teknetics "Greek" series, Teknetics T2, Fisher F75 ) It's a highly underrated detector, especially considering it been around awhile.

I have owned a Time Ranger for about 2 years now and personally have found pennies and dimes at 9"-10". With the 4" nugget coil ( which comes with the unit), you can air test a penny or dime at about 10". That will give you an idea of the depth of this unit.

Keep in mind that there have been about 4 revisions to the Time Ranger since it's introduction in the late 1990s.

If you haven't already come across it, here's a site that give a lil history and operating info on the Time Ranger;

I never used the Land Star but the basic detecting circuits are the same between the two ( target id, depth... ect.). with the Time Ranger being more feature rich. The Time ranger, which is now officially discontinued but still available new in many places ( at a great price), was the top unit of the Bounty Hunter line-up ( until the BH Platinum and Gold were introduced). That should pretty much put things in perspective.
