Time Ranger Batteries.

Can anyone explain to me how the Bounty Hunter Time Ranger can operate on C cell batteries. ?
They are only 1.6 Volts, so how can they be used in place of the standard 9 Volt battery.
Surely someone out there must have come across this situation before.
Can a model with C cells be changed back to work off the standard 9 Volt battery.

You've got a stone age unit that used a voltage booster circuit.

If it still works, and if you can still buy C cells, there is no problem needing to be solved. If you can't buy C cells or if it doesn't work anyhow, it's time to replace it. All present model Bounty Hunter models run on 9 volt batteries. We also have Teknetics and Fisher models some of which run on AA cells.
