"Time key to finding silver"

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member
From the land of the Bluenose.....it was truely a Herculean task to get out for a dig today as the "honey dew" list would have filled a whole roll of toilet tissue!

After making the bed, going to the washroom, doing the dishes, going to the washroom, dusting and going to the washroom it was out the door. Think my curried deer stew had run it's course in fine style.

Now that I was out the door it was time for the other chores which included going to the bank, going to the cable company, going to the grocery store , going to the dentist (just to pay a bill which to me was just as painfull) and finally a trip to visit Pat in the hospital. She is recovering well and asked about the bouys from the Christian Metal Detecting Forum who we visited last summer. She has a great view from her room which shows Citadel Hill in all it's glory. Of course I made further use of the "Rest Room." Son of a sea horse that was no rest room but one of strain and torture!

Nice to see city field on the job with their signs at the park not that anyone pays attention to them!

The field looked ok with the grass still a vibrant green.

It was deceiving as in some places it was like jello while other parts were like concerte. Second target of the year was a silver 1949 dime followed by a few other dimes and a watch. Hit the other side of the field and began "hammering" away. Man this reminded me of a film where Arnold Schwarzenegger is pointing to his biscips and says, "Dis is Hanz an dis is Franz and we here to pump you up." Lord love a duck digging in the concert had turned my two arms into limp spaghetti strands!

End result for the day after the "Penny Popping Polka" was 40 coins @ $1.45 including the 1949 dime, 2 keys, a watch, bridge token and a dog tag.

At theend of the day with my green boots, green camo jacket and dirt from head to toe I looked like the ghoul from the Green Latrine and even the dogs were staying up wind of me.

That was my first dig for this season and it started off great even though I didn't reach the 50 coin quota. Received other great news as I "got made" at work and have a regular fulltime position as a special constable which means that every extra shift I work is now time and a half. Although getting that was super the best was this proof of a grad photo of my daughter kayla!

She takes of lot from your wife doesn't she.
Children are a blessing. It is great to see them achieve and do well in life. She is blessed to have you as her proud father.

On the silver, on getting the house work done and your daughters graduation. Now go have a BUD and hunt!

Your daughter is very pretty.....I would be following here around with a shotgun! :)

Let me know what you're selling, when, how much, etc. I unloaded a bunch of mine some time ago and only have eight left so I feel naked - absolutely stripped.
