It's been 4 years, I know there is another one out there with my name on it. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

but it's still a rare coin to find! It represents most of a days wage back in those days, kinda like losing $100.00 today. Nice find! HH, Mike

Mike,
It took a while for me to settle down and start hunting again thats for sure! <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">
The Coinstrike was not yet out, the dollar was found with a 1236X2. I have however found several halves with the C$ and they read 33-34 here in my ground with both being around 4-5" deep. Deeper silver dimes will read higher for me. Most of them I have found near the max depth of the C$ were bouncers with the highest readings in the low 30's area...31-33 readings with lots of other numbers thrown in. I used to have a test dime buried at 12" and the C$ was the only machine ever to give a signal on it. Other machines even with large coils did not know it was there. The signal was not what I would consider a diggable signal. It was very weak and registered all over but mostly like +51 which could be a hot rock. It would only pick it up using a fairly brisk sweep speed too.
HH Tom
